BES has released the Summer Reading lists for this year. For rising kindergarten through third grade students, these lists are suggested books and authors that your child might enjoy reading or reading to you this summer.
For rising fourth through sixth grade students, this is a great way to get a head start on your First Trimester of Independent Reading for next year. Students can receive up to 1/3 of your AR points by reading books from the attached list this summer, and then successfully taking an AR Quiz on it (or them) during the first week of school in the fall. Although the school library is closed, your local Public Library is a great resource for these books.
For additional details, please contact Mr. Stewart, Assistant Head of School, at 246-2466 or bstewart@beachesepiscopalschool.org.
Challenge Day Enjoyed by Parents and Students on a Beautiful Spring DayStudents at BES came together for an annual tradition on Friday, April 26th across the school campus. They participated in various relays, group activities, competitions, and the always exciting tug-of-war event at the end of the day. We thank all of our parent volunteers who helped create a positive atmosphere and to everyone who attended and participated.

Beaches Episcopal School families, friends, and students celebrated the opening the school's new climbing wall in Hope Hall on Friday, April 26th. After months of planning and construction, the wall was used for the first time by ten lucky students. Movement teacher, Mrs. Lilly, and P.E. teacher, Mrs. Novak, cut the ribbon as students cheered them on. The wall is nearly two stories high and is very similar to an actual rock face, complete with areas that jut out to create a challenging climbing experience for students. We are thrilled about this incredible addition to our enrichment facilities.
