Beaches Episcopal School is one of the top private schools in Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra. How do I enroll my child in Beaches Episcopal School and when should the
application be submitted?
Contact the Beaches Episcopal School Admissions Director to request an admissions packet or download an application online.  Applications are accepted one year before, usually in the fall prior to the start of school.

What criteria are used for admission to Beaches Episcopal School?
Students applying to pre-kindergarten and kindergarten at Beaches Episcopal School are administered the Gesell Developmental Assessment. Students first grade through sixth grade are evaluated using the Gates-MacGinitie grade level standardized test.

What is the maximum class size at Beaches Episcopal School?
Pre-kindergarten – 12
Kindergarten – Third Grade – 14
Fourth Grade – Sixth Grade – 20

How many classes per grade level at Beaches Episcopal School?
Pre-kindergarten – 2
Kindergarten – Third Grade – 3
Fourth – Sixth Grade – 2

What enrichment classes are offered at Beaches Episcopal School?
Students at Beaches Episcopal School participate in: Art, Christian Education/Character Education, Computer, Library, Music, Physical Education, Movement, and Spanish. These are offered in an eight day rotation with frequency dependent upon the grade level of the students.

Do students wear uniforms at Beaches Episcopal School?
Yes.  Families can purchase uniforms at R.C. Uniforms and the requirements are listed in the Student/Parent Handbook.

What are school hours at Beaches Episcopal School?
Pre-kindergarten – 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Kindergarten – Sixth Grade – 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Is extended day available?
Yes.  Before school care is offered from 7:00 a.m. – 7:45 a.m.
After school care for pre-kindergarten is from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and for kindergarten – grade six – 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Can parents volunteer?
Absolutely.  Beaches Episcopal School parents are an integral part of our school community and are actively involved in many areas of campus life. The Parent Support Organization (PSO) offers a wide range of opportunities for parents to share their time and talent.

Are there after school programs at Beaches Episcopal School?
Students can choose from a wide variety of after-school activities for an additional fee determined by individual program coordinators. After-school programs offered include individual Suzuki violin lessons, band, Act It Out (a Reader’s Theatre-type program), Stretch and Grow, F.A.C.E. (an acronym for Fitness and Character Education), Kidz Speed, Cheerleading, Flag Football, Youth Choir and Artoga (yoga for kids). All after-school instructors have taken the Safe Guarding God’s Children class as specified by the Episcopal Diocese, and the school has a copy of the instructor/program’s current insurance liability certificate on file.

What Jacksonville private schools or public schools do students who graduate from Beaches Episcopal School attend?
Traditionally the largest majority of Beaches Episcopal School students continue on at Episcopal High School.  Additionally some Beaches Episcopal School students will go on to attend many of Jacksonville’s most prestigious private schools, including The Bolles School, Providence School, Catholic Schools plus other Duval County Public and magnet schools.

Do your students attend Chapel?
All students at Beaches Episcopal School attend school twice weekly
Monday – Lower School Chapel – Pre-kindergarten – Second Grade
Wednesday – All School Chapel
Friday – Upper School Chapel – Third – Sixth Grade

Do we have to be Episcopalian to attend Beaches Episcopal School?
No. Beaches Episcopal School does not proselytize and has families of all faiths and denominations.

Do you have a lunch program?
Yes. Students may bring lunch from home or participate in our lunch program.  Lunches can be ordered online monthly.

Is financial aid available at Beaches Episcopal School?
Yes. Financial aid is available to families that qualify with students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Applications for financial aid are available upon request after December 1 prior to the school year the child will be attending.
