Annual Giving Campaign:
To bridge the gap between the actual cost of a BES education and tuition, the Annual Giving Campaign was established to be an important part of the school's revenue. Tuition provides approximately 83% of the cost of each child's BES education. To sustain the high quality and unique blend of elements that help each BES student reach his or her potential, we must rely in part on the generosity of current parents, grandparents, trustees, alumni parents, alumni, faculty, staff and friends. All constituents are asked to participate in the campaign. No gift is too small, and all gifts are tax deductible. Your participation represents your commitment and belief in the school's goal in providing the best education for your children.

Pave the Way for Future Generations

Support BES by purchasing a courtyard brick.  It's a great way to honor your child, grandchild, your family and our school.  Bricks are $75 and your contribution is tax deductible.  Please fill out the Brick Purchase Order Form and make checks payable to "Beaches Episcopal School."

Development News Update

2007-2008 Annual Giving Campaign Update:

As a result of extraordinary contributions from parents, grandparents, neighbors and friends this year, the Annual Giving Campaign of the Beaches Episcopal School is delighted that $157,664 was allocated to our school for the 2007-2008 school year.  This exceptional level of giving reflects a community that values its schools and is willing to support the highest level of education for its children.  The Annual Giving Campaign is proud to play such a significant role in the funding of programs and facility improvements.  We thank our many donors for making this possible.

School Finances:
Like all independent schools, financial support beyond tuition revenue is necessary to balance the annual budget and provide for the future. The Board of Trustees annually approves the school's budget and sets the tuition in time for the admissions process. In order to balance the priority of reasonable tuition with the need to provide competitive staff salaries and benefits along with exceptional educational programs for our children, it is necessary for BES to seek revenue in addition to tuition.

Capital Campaign:
BES has a beautiful and exciting campus as a result of past capital campaigns. The Board of Trustees is continually monitoring the school's long range plans to ensure decisions are made in the best interest of the children.

Endowment:
A school's endowment are funds that are placed in savings accounts for the long term. With a reliable stream of endowment income, we are able to support financial assistance for students, provide teachers and staff with more professional development opportunities.

Special Fundraising Events:
Each year, BES sponsors a least one special event to raise operating revenue in addition to the Annual Giving Campaign. These events include our Golf Classic (every other year) and Annual Social and Silent Auction.

Gifts-In-Kind and Volunteer Services:
Gifts of goods and professional services may be donated to BES and are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Parents, staff and friends of BES volunteer hundreds of hours to the school each year. The gift of time is truly appreciated and makes many special programs possible at BES.

Special Cultivating Events:
There are many events throughout the year that promote the warm culture and environment that we at BES are proud of. Events such as Open House, Head of School BBQ, Grandparents'/ Special Friends' Day, holiday chapel services, Founder's Chapels, Challenge Day, annual school musical, school awards ceremony, and graduation enhance the fun, excitement and exceptional educational experience at BES.

Alumni Relations:
We are updating our records of all of BES's wonderful alumni. We would love to hear from you whether you graduated last year or 50 years ago. Please email Dallas Skornia at dskornia@beachesepiscopalschool.org. Include anything you would like us to know - your high school, college, career information and personal information. We will, with permission, share some of this information we gather in our Starfish News publication that is published annually.

At Beaches Episcopal School your child will be welcomed and known by name by teachers and staff. We are dedicated to caring for the total child, educationally, emotionally and socially. We want to help children grow in mind and heart so that they learn to value their own unique gifts as well as their connections and responsibilities to others. And we want our students to feel that they're not just at school, they are at home.
