Annual Giving Campaign

The Annual Giving Campaign provides support by supplementing the budget for a wide variety of enhancements both in the classroom to the facilities that tuition alone does not cover. Every year the Board of Trustees approves the budget making every effort to keep tuition at a minimum to remain affordable to families that otherwise might not have the option of a Beaches Episcopal School education.

Donating to the Annual Giving Campaign allows Beaches Episcopal School to maintain the high level of excellence in education that has been our tradition. Your gifts allow BES to provide our students with an enriched curriculum supplemented by outstanding learning materials. Each year, the campaign kicks off in the fall and runs until the end of the academic year. No gift is too small, and all gifts are tax deductible.

The Annual Giving Campaign has made possible some of the following:

• Professional development to the faculty and staff
• SMARTBoards (a state of the art interactive white board) in every classroom
• Updating curriculum
• Website programs that provide challenging and interactive learning
• Unexpected needs and opportunities that enhance learning

We are proud to announce that Ann Campbell-Hays will be the Chairperson for the 2009-2010 Annual Giving Campaign. Ann has three children at Beaches Episcopal School and just completed serving as President of the Parent Support Organization.  We know that she will be as successful in this venture as she was as the PSO President.

 2008-2009 Annual Giving Campaign Update:

The 2008-2009 Annual Giving Campaign, Catch the Wave, was a great success!  As a result of the extraordinary donations made by the parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, administration, friends and constituents, Beaches Episcopal School raised over $118,000.00.  We had an outstanding 100% participation by the faculty, staff, and Board and 67% participation by our parents, which reflects not only the generosity of our family and friends, but their high regard for the value and mission of Beaches Episcopal School and the education of their children.  We thank each one of you for your very generous donations.

Endowment:

Endowment Funds ensures continued support into the future of Beaches Episcopal School.  These funds are usually “invested” and in general only the income earned is spend for a specific purpose.  This allows the donation to have a greater impact over time versus being spent all at once.

Special Fund Raising Events:

Beaches Episcopal School sponsors a number of additional fundraising events that promote school and family relationships as well as supplement the Annual Giving Fund.  The Biennial Golf Classic is a chance for both students (2nd grade and up) parents, grandparents, and friends, to come together for a day of fun, golfing, eating, and prizes all to benefit BES.  For the past several years Marsh Landing Golf and Country Club has hosted this event and it has been a great success.

Every year BES, along with the support and imagination of the Parent Support Organization (PSO), plans a Social Event for parents, faculty, staff, and administration to come together for an exciting evening of entertainment!  There is always a theme, a delicious dinner, some type of live entertainment, and both silent and live auction items, the most coveted being the handmade donations from our students.  This brings the school community together for an evening of fun and fund raising.
