BES Students Make Blankets for Needy Children During First Make a Difference Monday of School Year

Our first Make a Difference Monday on Monday, September 9th was a wonderful success. BES students had fun working together to make blankets for needy children. On that day, various grade levels cut and tied together edges to make finished blankets that the school donated to Project Linus, an organization that accepts blankets to give to children who are sick or who may not have access to basic necessities.

We are excited about the many opportunities our students will have to engage thoughtfully in this and other wonderful community outreach projects throughout the year, and we thank our parents for supporting their students as they grow into compassionate citizens who see and meet needs around them.
