By now, we have all seen images of the devastation caused by Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas, especially the Abacos and Grand Bahama. Thirty hours of category 4 and 5 conditions is simply unimaginable.
Many of our parents and students have inquired about how our school community can help those victims who are trying to recover and rebuild their homes and their lives after such a catastrophic event. Recently, the Bahamian government has encouraged individuals and organizations to contribute funds for clean up and debris removal. To that end, we would like to offer you the opportunity to donate to the Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD) Hurricane Relief Fund.
For many years, gifts from this fund have provided partners on the ground with critical supplies, such as food and water, pastoral care, and other urgent needs for communities impacted by storms. When you give, you are helping them assist with the long-term efforts needed to rebuild and heal.
While we are thankful that we were spared the worst of this storm, let us all pray in gratitude for God’s providence and for the relief and recovery of the Bahamas.
