New Math Program Presentation Given at General PSO Meeting

The first PSO General Meeting was held on Thursday, September 27th and focused on helping our parents understand the new math curriculum this year at BES.

No longer just a numbers game, math class is increasingly centered on conceptual understanding and reasoning. Students need to be able to use language to formulate, synthesize, and communicate their mathematical thinking. Ms. Bittengle and Mrs. Cinnamond were our featured speakers, and they gave a thoughtful and engaging presentation about the new math program. We thank everyone who attended.

Below is a PDF version of their presentation for those who were unable to attend or needed a refresher of the topics discussed. We hope this is helpful in your students’ education journey as it relates to math comprehension.
