Summer is nearing its end, and BES is ready to welcome students and parents back to school. Orientation Day for students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade will take place on Monday, August 14th from 9:00a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Remember that all classrooms are now located in McCormick Hall. We will follow an Open House format so parents and students are welcome to stop by and meet their teachers at any time during those hours. Students will have receive a letter from their new teacher this week. Each student’s name will be posted on his or her homebase door.
A short presentation of helpful information for new families will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the Music Room in Hope Hall. This is your opportunity for questions and answers regarding the new school year.
After meeting the teacher, parents are invited to the Movement Room in Hope Hall. Volunteers will be available to assist parents with the handling of carpool numbers and additional paperwork needed for the start of school. This is also a great time to learn more about volunteer opportunities for parents and after-school activities available to students.
We have found that this Orientation Day enables us to get the first day of school off to a smooth start on Tuesday, August 15th. We look forward to seeing you and your children!
