Students to Produce Fleece Blankets for Those in Need During First “Make a Difference Monday” on Sept. 10th

In an effort to provide meaningful service opportunities for your children, BES is now implementing “Make a Difference Mondays” on the first Monday of every month. There will be a dedicated time during the school day for the children to engage in a service project that will affect their community. On Monday, September 10th students will partner with their buddy classes to make fleece blankets to give those who are sick or in need.

Other projects for later in the school year will include making cards to send to the children at our sister church in Cuba, making cards to send to our service men and women, Christmas caroling at a local assisted living facility, and others. If you would like to help with any of our projects, please don’t hesitate to let your homebase teacher know. They would love to have an extra set of hands.
